COVID-19 Update

COVID-19 Update – 17th March

You will be well aware that the government’s response to Covid-19 has increased substantially since the weekend. This includes far greater travel restrictions for those entering the country and recommendations for those planning overseas trips. Many large events have been canceled or postponed and workplaces are taking practical steps to reduce the risk of spread.

As a school, we are receiving clear advice from the Ministry of Health to keep our students and staff safe at all times.

We have a number of school trips and events that play an important part in our school curriculum. We are and will continue to make decisions on these trips on a case by case basis and use the advice and guidance provided by the Ministries of Health and Education.

Good hygiene is still our best prevention and we will continue to reinforce this with our students daily.

We have also developed a plan that sits alongside the six-phase strategy of New Zealand Pandemic Planning- Stanhope Road School Pandemic Plan 2020.
