Staff keep up with recent learning theory and we evaluate the relevance to our pupils carefully, before adopting new ideas into our curriculum. We have taken important elements of the Quality Schools movement to develop and refine our School Discipline Plan. This is based on progressively leading pupils toward developing responsibility for their own behaviour. We aim for a non-violent school environment, based on mutual respect, where all staff, pupils and visitors feel safe and secure.

We also value the process of Inquiry-based Learning ('Action Learning') and incorporate the principles into our everyday teaching and learning approaches. Thinking Skills are taught in an integrated approach. One of the corner stones of life at this school is the belief that there should be understanding and respect for people from different cultures and ethnic groups.

Our Mission:
We aim to provide a positive, safe, sensitive learning environment which enables our pupils to become lifelong learners
